This past weekend was the longest hours of my life. I don't want to tell everyone what happened in the most impersonal way, but I feel obligated to let anyone know who wants know. And for those willing to wait, I just want to make it known that I am recovering very quickly, faster than I ever thought I could, and I am feeling a lot better now. Things like this don't go away, but I feel like if I can make it through the next week, my travels with my brother will be a lot more comfortable and reassuring.

Hey Zach, We are so thankful that you are ok. Your mom has kept us posted and we are glad you are doing better. You read about violence and attacks, but it never soaks in unless it happens to someone you love. It can happen to anyone, anywhere at anytime. I have often thought it would be smart for the entire family to take some kind of martial arts class on self defense. Stay strong and do whatever you think you need to process this experience and move forward. Like all experiences, good or bad, you can learn and become a better person from them. I talked with Frank yesterday. He is looking forward to getting with you. I like thinking that your travels with Frank will end this adventure on a high note! Take care...we love you...nancy
